Duplicate icons on screen

Two duplicate browser icons appear on my screen. How do I get rid of one of them?

Press and hold and drag to the trash

I've had this happen before with other apps....if its on your main home screen, just long press and drag to the trash can

Thanks. That worked. Was also wondering if you can delete all the icons on the screen, but still get to all the apps anyway by pulling up all of them. Or does deleting it also remove it fromthe screen that shows all apps? Just want to make sure before I do anything I'll regret.

Deleting an icon is like deleting a shortcut to a program in Windows.
