I just unplugged it and did it again....waited and nothing came up like you described...and yes, I'm using the original usb cord from the factory, not an aftermarket one...in case that was the next question.

Also, has anyone installed an update yet....cause I notice the option to wipe the Dalvik Cache is automatically selected before installing....is that necessary or can I/should I deselect that?

I can't help you with the USB thing. Not sure why it does not come up for you. I just plug and pay the old fashioned way.

As for updates, I flashed the update to version .29 this weekend. From what I understand at the very least you should wipe dalvik. Of course, I found that there is a lot of community support over on droid x forums for MIUI users. I would recommend anyone go check them out for any bugs or issues.

I'm having similar USB issues, but when it happens, I've found that unplugging it and plugging it back in again usually solves that problem.

I have the usb issue. I have to plug it in once, then pull it back out and plug it in again, then it will be detected

Hello all. I am new to this rom. I am currently running a DX on Liquid 2.4. I have thought about trying this rom out. I am seeing that there are problems with 1.7.29, I downloaded the 1.7.22 version, but have not flashed either one yet. If anyone can offer any advice on which one I should flash or any tips on installing or any thing I should NOT do, it would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

I will add my experience but I know some have had different experiences. Version 22 was very stable and I had no issues. The only thing I am aware of that did not work was HDMI but I never use it so it was a non issue. However, while there weren't some noticeable upgrades that I like about 29, it had noire flaws for me than 22 so I flashed back.

With MIUI there is no app drawer so all your icons have to be on a screen, if you remove it from the screen, it gets uninstalled. The only work around was to place all your unwanted or un necessary icons in a folder to clear up space. For example, if you have a widget on a screen, why would you need the app icon too? With version 29 they add the ability to hide any icon toy want so it is not on your screen and bio need for a folder, plus you could set some apos to be password protected while others were not. I loved that feature. Also, I like the browser and changes to the camera in 29 over 22. So, why did I switch back?

With 29, i could not get mums and gtalk messages to have different ringtones which may not seen like a big deal but it annoyed me. Also, the DND and theme managers did not work and always force closed. Minor stuff of course, but basic things I just couldn't deal with.

Finally, I recommend you take a look at the droidxforums if you haven't already. They have a section dedicated to MIUI and you can find all the advice, tips, and tricks you may be interested in.
