So I don't know if I'm even putting this in the right spot but wasn't sure where else to put it. It looks like I may be going to China for about 9 months. I'm curious if anyone has been over there. Want to know if I'll need a new phone or can I take one from here. What kind of issue I can expect as far as service or access. If I have root can I just switch sims...any help would be beneficial thanks.

If you have a Global capable phone you should just be able to pop a China cellular company's SIM card into your phone.
