Car Dock Charging

Purchased the stock Motorola Car Dock and it does not seem to be charging my Droid. Docking was not difficult as there is only one way to get Droid into dock. Docking is recognized as Droid immediately goes into car dock mode. Anybody else have the same problem?

Sounds defective. Recognizing the dock isn't really relevant as that relies on the magnet in the dock which has nothing to do with charging. You can do the same thing with any magnet.

Not only was the charger defective but so was the docking station. I had it checked out at a Verizon store. I thought I was buying an original Motorola unit from Amazon but it comes from THE OEM SHOP and they are not the same as one gets at the Verizon store. They also can be refurbished. I am trying to get a refund.
