Is it to possible to turn off the flash on the camera?

Yes, when the camera is on, tap the screen a menu comes from the side.

I played with my phone for 2 days before actually setting it up the way I wanted to. I went through just about every menu entry I could find. I checked, unchecked, and saw the response.
