Calendar help again sorry

Hi just got my Droid last night. I've been reading and searching but I don't know where to start. I am coming from a Storm and is there any way to make the calendar work on the Droid like it did on the storm? I really don't need the calendar to Sync just when I create a event I need to invite people and when people invite me I need to be able to accept it and have it put into my Droid calendar. Maybe what I want it to do is sync not sure. What would really be nice is if I could just import my old calendar from my storm into the droid is that possible?
