Calendar delete issues

Sometimes events in a series will not delete. I have calendar synced with GC. This happens when trying to delete" this and future events" The event will be removed for about 10 seconds, then reappear.
Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a solution?

I just created a 3 month reoccuring weekly meeting on my Outlook (corp) calendar. It showed on my X. I then brought up a meeting and deleted. This and all future events. It removed from my X and from my outlook. It has not reappeared
