Best place to buy off-contract?

My Razr Maxx HD is f'ed up (screen is broken) and I've been wanting a Maxx for a while. The $400 for the Moto X is appealing, but I really want the Maxx. I need that 3500 mah battery!
I have like $450 in Amazon GCs, but unfortunately, the Maxx is 700$ on there. What's the cheapest way to get this phone off-contract?

It's not $449 anymore. That was a Holiday sale price. $499

I bought mine from Vzw with a bunch of GCs I had lying around.
