Battery - 2 hours watching a movie?

I charged my Droid x2 last night. I left it plugged into the charger all night long. I am currently on a 14 hour drive and left at 7. I watched a 1h 40min movie and my battery had lost a lot of charge. Not too long after that (less than 20 minutes) my battery was down to the 20% mark. Is it normal that it dies that quickly when watching a movie? My phone is fairly new. Did I get a bad battery? I have a car charger but if I was on a bus or plane where I can't do that it would be a problem.

I believe this pretty normal. If you was using Netflix app to stream your movies. Reason is, using Netflix takes up to 600 - 1000 kbps of streaming data. Using the 3G connection and your screen, sound, will take its toll on the battery. Especially using it that long.

Ok that makes sense. Is it possible to buy a battery that gets better life without it being an extended (fat) one? I have an otterbox case so I don't think a battery that causes a bulge on the back would fit into that.

From what I hear you can buy the extended battery and keep the original battery cover on it. All it does is is pushes a little pressure on the battery and make it a little more difficult to take the cover off. I don't have a extended battery so I don't know. That just what I've heard on the internet.

I've heard it can fit but it messes up the touch capabilities of the screen.

It shouldn't mess it up. My extended for my Droid 1 is normal with it

I never heard of that as well. But either way. Use with caution. Lol.

I have the extended battery and an Otterbox its no problem at all with either battery cover. No problems with my touchscreen. That kind of battery usage is normal streaming a movie.

I've had my extended battery in there under the stock door with an Otterbox wrapped around it for 3 months, no problem.

As for the movie issue, they will kill the battery at warp speed, 3G and voice burn 2x as much as display. So a 2 hour movie over 3G = 6 hours display time. Not a problem over WiFi.

I also have the extended battery BH6X, it fits perfectly with stock cover. There aren't any touch screen problems that I'm aware. It gives easily 20% more time.
