Apps open randomly

I've been using the Gameboid GBA emulator quite a bit, and in order to use sound and not have the framerate go down really low, I have to close all my running services before I play. That's not a huge deal, but after a bit of playing I notice the game starts slowing down. When I check my task manager again I notice that there's about 8 apps running. How do I get them to stay closed?

Help, I hit the revert button while I was in the contact window. It merge into another contact. First questions is I don't know what "revert" means. Second questions is how do I undo the merged contacts.
