App info on sd card

I have all my apps but they all pulled info from my old sd card. I upgraded from a rooted droid 1. Can I just pop my sd card in or are there files I should delete from the sd before I do? I don't want to brick the new droid 3. With my old sd card but I want my saved games etc...
