AOKP 4.2.2 Flashing Help

I have some questions regarding the AOKP 4.2.2 release. Do you have to be on JB or ICS? Do you use Safestrap to flash? I have looking for some sort of guide on how to correctly flash this ROM if anyone can point me to the right direction it would help a ton!

Im currently running the AOKP 4.2.2 spyder build 5 on my razr. I was on ICS before I flashed build 4 onto my phone and had no trouble doing so after factory reset, and wiping dalvik and normal cache. I flashed it using an older version of safestrap (2.0 I believe). Anything beyond those boundaries, I'm not sure what to tell ya.
