    Are they a suckers buy-or are they actually effective in sunlight?

    IMO not really...the ones I used caused too much problems for my eyes

    I have one and I don't care for it at all. It makes the screen look dull and out of focus. As far as doing what it was intended for, it does get rid of the glare but the screen doesn't seem as bright.
