Nothing here yet.

Also important to note that, they're offering a grandfather period where you can import cards that you already have in Wallet into AP, even if those banks don't directly support AP yet. If you miss the window to do so, you'll have to wait until your bank is on the list of supporting banks.

If you think you're going to want to use AP, it's a good idea to add cards/banks to Wallet first, because, according to some clarification that one of the blogs (sorry, forgot which one) got from Google says that, if the bank isn't supported, it will auto-reject adding them if they weren't already in your account with Wallet.

Also, Google had no answer for that same blog as to how long this grandfather period will last.

Got my update over the weekend. Ignored it at first. Installed yesterday. I stopped at "you must enable some type of screen security in order to use Pay".
I recently turned off my pin code.
I will enable it again soon (when I find my watch).

The 2 existing cards in there came right over from Wallet.
I am intrigued about it working without having to find and go into the app first. I never did like that about Wallet.

I will be removing Wallet, too, once I am all set up.

Did you end up with Wallet AND ap installed? I thought ap was supposed to update the current Wallet app. I checked for updates this morning, but this still wasn't one of them. I've used Wallet to pay only a few times anyway, so I'm not too concerned, but would still like to try the new setup out.

Aha. I had not yet gone into Wallet since Pay installed, Johnny. When I do, I get this:

PAY.jpg

I hit REMOVE WALLET and it said "removing icon". So after Pay Installs, Wallet is gone and this icon to upgrade remains in its place.

That makes sense. Should take less people off guard, though if you're already using wallet, I'd think your the type who knew this was coming.

Should be a new wallet app in the play store that's strictly for p2p payments.
