There is another one around called Android Central Sideload Machine, yah nice name eh? ;) anyway makes life easy but you can do this yourself without the app using ADB...

You don't need to use ADB to install third party apps, anyway. You can drag/download them to your SD card and install them. I haven't used either of the above mentioned apps, but frankly, I don't see a need for them.

Some carriers (AT&T) block nonmarket apps, that's the only reason there's a need for it at all. Although you can install through adb even on those carriers so this is only for those that don't know how to use adb (which, in my opinion, everyone should know how).
