3G Connection

When I make a call or someone calls me the 3g icon goes away and it has never done that. Any info?

I believe that is suppose to happen as with VZW and CDMA you can't have voice and data use at the same time, unless you are on Wifi (but then your 3G icon is still gone)

You are correct. The phone will switch to 1x when making calls and back to 3G when the call is done.
