A couple of weeks ago Best Buy leaked intel on a 2nd generation Moto E which would have 4G LTE. There is a new development regarding that device. The above image was leaked of a Verizon version of this 2nd-gen 4G LTE Moto E.

On top of the leaked image, we have word that Motorola will supposedly unveil the device as early as tomorrow (February 25th). A few details were also shared about the device:
  • 8GB of storage
  • 1GB of RAM
  • 1.2GHz Qualcomm chip
  • 4.5" 960x540 display
  • Front-facing camera
  • Secondary noise-canceling microphone
Stay tuned. If they do release it tomorrow, we will share all the details.

If this is their big reveal, color me hugely disappointed.

For most people that have carrier subsidized phones or buy their phones at full retail price, this isn't going to be huge news.

For people that cannot afford to pay full price for a mid-level to flagship phone, this news will be HUGE. An affordable phone that operates with LTE is a big step. I think the Moto G already has LTE, but Motorola (Lenovo) is really working on making more cost effective phones for their emerging markets.

Buying Motorola has allowed Lenovo, who sells lots of phones in their current markets, to expand their markets substantially.
