What r the benefits of the root also would like to be reasured it wont brick uall got my wheels spinning I watched some utube as well

Well after rooting you can use root apps like wireless tether or screen shot apps etc. Also you can flash custom roms and themes. Z4root has been well tested and there is essentially no risk of brickage. That risk comes in to play when flashing roms and such.

I meant does rootit make device perform better I see all these ppl ranting and raving about rooting I have p played with this phone nonstop following forum I would like to see a demo what about the bloatware does z4 take care of that with root can I have gingerbread

Rooting alone will not make the phone perform better. However when you freeze bloatware and overclock the phone it will definitely perform better. And with the options for custom roms you should be able to get not only performance but also personalization. Z4root however will not do any of this it will only give you root access.

What root and roms I need simple though im a noob

Well first you'll need to root. Z4root should work for you just fine. After that you should do some reading as to which Rom is right for you. They are all a little different. Im currently running gummy jar which is also available for the dx and I like it quite a bit. Then when it comes time to flash a Rom you will need to pick up a copy of the dx bootstrapper.
