nfl- saints. shocker!

baseball- do not want, used to like the a's when henderson and canseco ruled the dugout the only time i watch baseball now is when lsu is in omaha

nba- do not want. the only time i watch is the finals, and i always go for the other team besides the lakers.

nhl- do not want. theres no coverage down here.

In 1958 my father took me and a bottle of booze out to a place called the Los Angeles Coliseum. My father was from New York and he sat me down and explained to be at the age of 5 that son, you will become a Dodger fan.

In 1959 the Los Angeles Dodgers won their first World Championship and my parakeet flew out the door. Yes, I had birds when I was a kid too.

In 1963 I was leaving Dodger Stadium with my dad who was highly intoxicated and got into a fist fight in the parking lot with someone. He lost, but the Dodgers won the game. They also beat the Yankees in 4 straight that year in the World Series.

Now I live in N.E. Ohio, outside of Cleveland and thank God for modern technology as I watch more Dodger games then ever. I have to stay up until 2:00 in the morning to do this, but because I'm a true fan it's what I do.

I was a Rams fan until 1980. The Oakland Raiders were the first wild card team to win the Super Bowl. I forgot about the Rams and became a Raider fan, silver and black baby. I had no idea they would be moving to Los Angeles. It's as if God planned it that way. My Raiders had come to me.

I moved out of the L.A. area in 1997 and the Raiders moved too shortly afterwards. I'm still a Raider fan. Win or lose.

That's pretty much it. I'll root for the Lakers, because that was the team that was around and they have had so many great championship teams but I'm not a big squeaky shoes fan.
