XT926 on AT&T

What network was the phone used on before? Ask them what the procedure is for unlocking that phone, for starters.

Verizon. I was under the impression that is something they would not tell you due to them wanting you to tick with them.

You have a problem. Usually you cannot take a CDMA device from Verizon or Sprint and use it on a. GSM system like AT&T and T-Mobile have.

I'm not a technician, and I'm not saying it is physically impossible, but I seriously doubt that it can be done.

I'm pretty sure that model can be used on AT&T. Two ways you can get there: if you are out of contract, you can just go to Verizon & tell them to unlock it. Or the more fun way: head over to xda, there's a lengthy thread on unlocking this model.
