Workaround for LED turn off issue with Droid 2

As most of you that had a Droid 1, it had the option when either rooted or if an app allowed it (on Froyo) the bottom touch keys LEDs could be turned off. This is very useful if you use your phone as I do as an alarm clock/bedside clock and don't want those lights on.

Well Motorola decided this feature should not be carried over to the Droid 2 and now no apps rooted or not can turn off the bottom LEDs.

I have a workaround.

1: disable auto backlight.

2: power off the phone

3: put phone in multimedia dock or plug into charger.

4: once you press power again to bypass the charging screen, the phone will power up with no leds. Keyboard or touch leds. Until you change the backlight or turn the display off and on.

Its inconvient but it works.

Then you can have a clock or charge the phone without the leds being on.
