Won't sync google contacts. help!

I do not know whats going on. I've never had issues with any roms before not being able to sync up my contacts. When i click on phone>Contacts>Menu>Display Options> then I see My email and next to my email it says "Unsyncd". If I press and hold my email, nothing happens, If i just click on my email, another sub catagory comes up as "all contacts". How do i get this to sync up? My actual emails are synced up just fine. My contacts are the only thing that is messed up with this rom.

Whats going on? any ideas?

I noticed that yesterday when I went to make a call. All my contacts were gone., Here is what I did and it fixed it. Go into settings > accounts & sync > your gmail account > make sure all is checked. Mine were not. Once I checked the mail and contacts all my stuff synced without a problem.

I dont have anything to check really.

I went int o Accounts & Sync like you said. Then it says..

~General Sync settings:
Background data: CHECKED
Auto Sync: CHECKED
~Manage Account:
Jm......@gmail.com: Synced Symbol.
....................................................................


Now if I click on my email...

~Data & Synchronization:
Sync Gmail: CHECKED







..................


Thats all it says. It doesn't say Contacts anywhere.

Open your contacts, tap menu, tap accounts, make sure auto-sync is checked, look at your Gmail account to see if sync is on. If not, tap and a new window will allow you to synce contacts, gmail, Picsa, and calendar.

yup gmail is synced up just fine. Still no option for contacts.

Ok Mine has this:

Open your contacts
Tap menu
Tap accounts
Make sure Auto sync is checked
Under Manage accounts your Gmail account will be listed
tap on the Gmail account
A new window will open that says data & synchronization
Under that it will say
Sync Contacts
Sync Gmail
Sync Picasa Web Albums
Sync Calendar

And these are the steps you followed and the four Sync lines do not show?

My roommate had this happen when i flashed his phone...then he checked his gmail and his contacts and calander settings were gone from there as well...hence no sync....not sure why or how it happend but it sucked pretty bad. If I were you I'd double check your gmail contacts on the account your phone is regged to

I went to Gmail on my computer and all my contacts are on the computer. I just did a Factory reset and still nothing. I'm just going to reflash the phone. hopefully it'll work. This rom is too good to not work. sucks it messed up the most important part of the phone .

Well phone is bricked. I can't boot into recovery. its stuck at Moto Logo. FML.


Actually, HOld up. I took the SD card out and the phone booted up with no problem.... What does this mean?? phone is still rooted as well without the SD card in the phone.

I'm having the exact problem. I have tried loading the rom several times. Full wipe and all. I even did a factory reset with no luck. In my sync settings all I have is Gmail and Picasa?

Maybe they can figure it out. I really liked the rom. I'm back to my old rom for now.

Try putting the SD card back in the phone. See if it boots then into Sapphire. Perhaps SD card going bad?

Try starting over reviewing the install instruction in the WIKI?
