Will bottom of droid x scratch?

I know the back of the phone is suppose to be made out of the same material as the original droid (but i'm not familiar with it) so i was wondering if I DON"T get a shield on the back...will I have to worry about it scratching from normal use (i.e. laying it on the table, etc). Obviously if it falls or rubs on a rough surface than it will sure attract some scratches tho.

nah, it's pretty durable. i have had to drop mine on gravel to scratch that stuff..
