Wifi vs. 4G - Battery Life

I know that Wifi uses less data than over your service (3g/4g) But I was wondering if either makes a difference between which uses more battery life. Because everyone with a smartphone knows it has a "dumb" battery. I have a battery saver app, and it works pretty well, but I was just wondering if there is a significant difference between the two.

WiFi uses less battery as long as you have a stable connection.

Regarding data its not less either, 100mb is 100mb. WiFi just doesn't use your data on your plan. So if you're tiered then I strongly recommend you use WiFi to not eat into your data as well as saving battery life.
