I rooted my phone and got the Wireless Tether app by Muller, Lemons, Buxton and i can connect to my computer totally fine but i wanna use my wifi feature on my ps3 as well, so i want to know if any one has had success doing this. I read that some people used ROMs to do this but I'm not for sure, i have an HTC Hero.

This app now supports infrastructure mode. If you can use this mode with your phone, you should have no problems. It's like connecting to any other wifi. If your phone is not supported, and uses Ad Hoc mode..Then you can't connect to it. You will have to use the TeamBlackHat patch.

Sorry, I may have misspoke. I don't believe the patch will work for a HTC phone. I believe it's verison based and I believe hero is a sprint phone? You will probably have to use a custom rom if the app didn't work for you. Sorry about that...
