WiFi question

When I have my home WiFi connected why does my thunderbolt still search and use 4g network? Can I change that?

That's weird...I use WiFi all the time and it shuts.down my data 3 g

try changing the wifi sleep policy under settings (in the wifi menu) make sure it says never sleep.
