Wifi not working after tether?

I've been rooted for quite some time, but haven't actually used my wireless tether. It worked fine, but I noticed that in the devices I used it for, wifi simply didn't connect when wifi became available. The devices tethered were a mac running snow leopard and a rooted nook color. Both ran wifi fine before I tried tethering.

Some more details please as your post even after reading it several times has me wondering. Is the WiFi broken now in all devices? You said it worked fine, but now it doesn't? Does the WiFi still work on your droid? Or on your nook and/or mac?
