WiFi connection?

I have uploaded a few small videos to YouTube with no issues, but now I want to upload a bigger one and it has to go thru a WiFi network. I don't have one at home but I do at work. As soon as I got there the phone said uploading, then went to retrying in 1 minute. I retryed it manually and nothing happened. I left it while working and when I came back it said, failed and network error. I talked to the good people at Verizon, who told me to turn off the WiFi and do it thru the 3G. Apparently they didn't know because its a bigger file that it has to go thru WiFi. My friend had the same problem, but she went to the VZW store and they had to make an adjustment or something to her phone to get it to upload thru a WiFi network. Anyone have an idea what the problem is? TIA
