Wifi/battery issue

Got a note 5 a few days ago and have noticed gsam has been showing that my wifi has been using a lot of battery. I don't recall this being the case on my G3. Anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Is there a way or app that help me check what is using so much background data when I'm on wifi?

I don't that that necessarily shows Wifi as being the culprit... Doesn't look to crazy to me... But for piece of mind check any refresh times on weather apps, news apps, social media, cloud storage, things of that nature.... Also look and see what apps are requesting location.. I have seen that falsely reported under WiFi in Gsam before.

I have my Wifi turn off when my screen is off.

Settings -- Wifi -- MORE -- Advanced -- Keep Wifi on during sleep (I switched it to "never").

Also as Miller said, make sure to check your apps that refresh automatically and either change the intervals or turn them off.
