I bought a calendar "widget" and when I activate it, I get info and not the calendar.
What's the diff btw anapp & a widget & how do I get a widget to work?

A widget is MORE than an icon. It runs in conjunction. You must enable a widget via, the widget setting. An App can be seen on the panel (droid panel)

fundamental issues

I have downloaded apss and they wor by just clicking the icon. I paid for an app/widget called "pure calendar" and when I clicl the icon, I dont get the calendar app. Please give me the big picture about apps/widgets.

Long hold your finger on a home screen, then choose widgets. Make sure you have room for it.
