Widgetlocker and home replacements don't play well?

So yeah im still kinda new to widgetlocker. I installed it and whatnot and at the same time I had lpp. I love launcher pro but it might just be me but it appeared to not be playing well with widgettlocker. So after putting up with that for a while I decided id try a different home replacement app (I hate stock but too scared to rom). I checked out adw and go launcher and ended up going with go launcher ex. I really like it but it appears to be laggy as all hell. I miss lpp but I feel like gle is playing better with widgetlocker. Uh yeah so thoughts? Any ideas on how I can get widgetlocker and lpp to play nice? Or how do I get gle to stop being so choppy? Sorry for throwing so much at you at once
