wi-fi phone calls

I've been reading about setting up my Droid so that I can make phone calls overseas to anywhere in the world as long as I can grab a wi-fi hotspot.

I see you can no longer get a Gizmo5 account.

Anyone use / know anything about the free sipgate accounts or have recommendations for any other way of doing this?
