Why Do Downloads Only Work with the Screen On?

Every time I try to download something (app, ROM, podcasts), the downloads start fine, but if I do not keep the screen on, they fail.

I am running UD 3.1.1 on the OG Droid. I do not have anything like Juice Defender running that would kill the network connection.

My issue is specific to 3G, but I have not tried to download anything over wifi recently to know if that is an issue too.

Anyone else experience this and have a fix?

I can't provide you a fix, but I have the same issue. Not a MAJOR problem by any means, but it kinda sucks. I have to leave the screen on and watch the download til its completion, otherwise the download fails. Just letting you know that you're not alone lol.

I have noticed this with other roms as well, so I'm starting to think it's a GB issue...but who knows.
