why can't anyone come up with a half decent browser

you've got:
1. over-bloated alternates, which work in bizarrely unexpected ways. fine they use their own rendering engines, but get the UI working right already.

2. skinned versions of the stock browser, most of which BREAK the UI.

3. iPhone Safari knock offs. or at least trying to be, as not one of them acts properly.

4. cheaply made garbage, thrown together to try to leech a buck or 2 out of us. need i elaborate?

I find nothing wrong with the stock browser. Easily the best browser on a mobile device imo

yes it is, which is part of the problem. while it is currently the best Android browser, i still don't like out much, i only tolerate it since everything else out there is worse. for instance, it has issues with certain sites i use all the time, namely on gawker sites, sometimes a page will load that refuses to scroll. and all of it's clones have the same problem.
