Which wifi tether apk do I download from the android wifi-tether site? The one for the Evo 4G or the Incredible or which?

I use pdanet - pretty quick and I was watching HULU with no problems.

I used Barnacle with my D1 and had no issues. I haven't had a chance to try it with my TB yet...

PDAnet here too, free for now, better than Easytether that was 9.99...easytether won't let me vpn to my companies network, pdanet does...you use usb cable, even on 3 G I CAN TAKE AND MAKE PHONE CALLS,while tethered...

I recommend barnacle just because the units are KBps not kbps...1000KBps is 1MB...excellent quality songs in the year 2011 are around 10-12MBper song...easier to think of how fast it it is my head

And encryption works well on it. Changed ssid as well

Just use the wifi hotspot built in ... it does the same if not better than all the market apps. when the FREE period is over you can simply go into the ##778# menu and make a simple change and verizon will never SEE that you use it.

Changing the DUN setting from @dun.3g.vzw.com to @3g.vwz.com

This was used with the Incredible, and other phones. I cant tell you exatly how to make those changes at this time... But im POSITIVE it will come up soon enough. Or you could just digg into your settings at find it.
