Which signal IS it?

I live in Nevada and my trucking job has me running mostly over I-80 and Hwy 95 (all out in the boonies!). I have great 'phone' signal almost all the time, and a good portion of the time I have the twin signal bar sets (on my LGnv2) showing calling and - gee - what IS that other bar set showing? I'm wondering if that second set of bars would be a good indicator of how strong (and present) the "data" signal is. Meaning will my Droid have access to all this great 'smart phone' stuff most of the time. Living in Nevada, I expect there to be some problems some of the time (unlike living in, say, L.A.).

Any info on that second bar set? Thanks.

Yeah, that's probably the 3G signal (data) signal. Voice calls are on the 2G network. I think Verizon's 3G network is actually more robust than the 2G network...

Thanks. I was hoping that might be it, since I see that second set almost all the time. Surprising, given that I'm am really in the boonies most of the time.

I like it!
