Which locations need to be checked?

I have been wondering this for a while. I have google, stand alone, and verizon checked. I have noticed that my phone still works fine just having stand alone checked. What do the pros recommend?
Do we need all checked to get full location function? Will it help battery life leaving some unchecked?

the google and verizon options are just round-about location service (E911) that your weather services uses to determine your location, stand alone is the actual GPS (most acurate) location service that is used/required for using navigation and for more acurate determination for weather updates. The stand alone GPS uses more battery and can be toggled on and off with a toggle widget for use with things such as navigation. I usually leave the verizon and google services on and toggle the stand alone service to on when its needed.

Thanks the long toggle widget has the GPS on it that will cut off stand alone which is what I use. The one that comes with the phone.
