Where is my gallery photo's stored

I have several pictures in my gallery. Instead of sending each one, is there a way to download them via a USB cable? Where are they stored on my phone. I don't see them on my SD card, where I thought they would be.

If they are pictures from the camera they should be in sdcard\dcim\camera.
