Where does the received notification appear?

I installed Handcent SMS last night and have sent a couple of test text messages. I am having trouble figuring out how to see the notification that the messages were delivered to the recipient's phone.

I am on Verizon. Will the "recipient received" notification still come back to me if the person I'm texting in a non Verizon customer.

Depends on the recipient's carrier. Not all carriers support it.

If the carrier supports it can you tell me where or how I will see the recipient received notification in Handcent SMS? Also do you know if Verizon supports this?
