I quit hunting after moving from Colorado down the the South Coast. The size of the animals down here are not worth the effort to try to stock my freezer with.

As much as I love having my own fresh meat that I process in my freezer I get more joy from just being out in the woods. Nothing clears the mind like 5 or 6 hours in a tree away from the world....

Although my phone does just barely work at my stand so I'm not as disconnected as I used to be.

I'm considering getting into fresh water fishing now. I've fished offshore so much that I'm burned out on it, but I've never caught a large mouthed bass.

I've had my fair share of trout landings. I would fish Pike's Peak every weekend. I haven't fished freshwater since moving to the coast.

We have a GREAT bass population here in MI. My favorite all around is still blue gills. Easy to catch and taste great. Perch are excellent as well but a little more difficult to catch.
