My goal is to get information on the various apps, devices, and learn to use Android most effectively.

This the only Android forum I kept coming back to early in Android's days and now. Nothing but friendly and helpful people here willing to go the extra mile when it comes to sharing knowledge or solving a problem. Although there are many other Android sites and model specific forums, many members have joined both and go back and forth between them.
