Every thing you do to a car is for your personal enjoyment whilst owning said such vehicle.
That $10,000 stereo system is worth squat when you sell it. That is true for rims and tires, fancy paint jobs, custom interiors, wahzoo body kits etc. Motor hop ups deduct from the value (hmm, 600 bhp, wonder how many times its been abused)
Dumping $25,000 into a $2,500 car makes it a $2,500 car
