Arguing with my daughter. Her Droid 2 had earphone problems. I pay for TEC, so deemed hardware failure. Replaced w/refurb free. Now screen is dead. Brought it into VZW Corporate. Also deemed hardware failure. Out of stock on Droid 2 (duh....)

Offered her replacement of Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Much faster processor, etc. She wants the damn keyboard!!! Told her to get Nexus. If she hates it, she can have my OG Droid.....(it VZW will order D2 for her....)

Frustrated! Oh....and cleaning the house.

She will be 21 in two weeks.... Still away at school, because she is building a house for Habitat for Humanity. Comes home Saturday!

Currently has the D2. No stock on 3. On the 4, they have stock phones, but no battery covers!

Other daughter has the Samsung Stratosphere, and the keyboard is fine. Got it for free, so it is worth that much.

They are offering her the Galaxy Nexus. 4G, running JB. (She currently has GB, as she won't let me touch the phone to root it..) Nexus is better all around. Camera is better, processor is faster, etc. Wants keyboard.

Funny thing is, when I got her a smartphone for college (just finished 3rd year, so she is due for an upgrade, but I won't give up her unlimited....) I had to convince her to go Android. Wanted an iPhone. No keyboard there!

Convincing factor for Android? Wouldn't have to ask for iTunes cards for all her gifts, as there are many more ways to get music on Android.

My theory is "if it needs iTunes, iDon't"

Nexus should arrive in Amherst, NY tomorrow....
