I tried Go Launcher EX for a while, but seemed to slow things down.

As surprising as it is for me, I've stuck with the stock launcher.

Same here. On my Bionic I had Go Launcher EX, mainly to be able to set the number of icons. I had it set for 5 by 6. I do miss that, but have stuck with the stock launcher with the hope that they'll allow us to crowd more in a future update.
