what is the best screen protector and how do i end a call?

do the bottom buttons get any scratches or dings on them since they aren't covered or smudged up?
I don't have any scratches on the screen. The seidio innocase I use does a good job protecting the outside of the phone including the buttons on the bottom. The screen gets plenty of fingerprints and smudges during the day but I will take that over scratches that can't be wiped off.l

I've just installed the zagg. It has only been 12 hours, but I am not impressed. There are no bubbles, but when looking at a white screen it is like there are little rainbows everywhere and it bothers my eyes. The instructions say they will go away in 12-24hours, so time will tell. I don't like the tackyness. Its much thinner than the vzw one, but doesn't have the glass like feel. Pinch to zoom is tricky with the tacky zagg.

I highly suggest making use of the Accessories forum which is full of screen protector discussion threads. "Best" is subjective no matter what you're talking about. I personally prefer the Steinheil Crystal as it's clear with no distortion and feels the closest to bare glass IMO. It does nothing for smudges or glare though.

Please note that the screen on the droid is pretty tough and resistant to scratching already, so you might not need a screen protector (I don't use one and have no scratches on my screen). However, it really is a personal choice. I don't like the way screen protectors feel and find they get too smudged for my tastes (besides the hassle of getting them on with no bubbles). Other people love them and swear by them (I just swear at them :)). As for cases, you might look at this, I have the suede sleeve my old XV6850 came in that the droid fits in perfectly, the link goes to something similar. Seems to work well in a pant pocket without making the phone too bulky

ok so what should i go with then? The verizon one? Does the verizon one have the glass like feel?

Zagg is the best in my opinion, but I'm sure you have already bought one by now. So the real reason for my post is to address the other issue of protecting your droid as a whole while carrying it. Seidio's "Innocase" is Awesome! They also make a holster (Face-In design, lined with felt) that would be a much beter alternative to carrying your phone in a pocket. At least that way you reduce the possibility of busting the screen (it's tough, but why risk it?). That's my 2 cents... I've recommended them to everyone I know, regardless of phone type assuming seidio makes a case/holster for their phone. Always high quality stuff.

I bought the Verizon screen protectors just after I bought the phone. After a couple weeks I noticed that the screen protector started to look milky/scratchy/smudgey so I did some research online. The droid's screen is made from Gorilla Glass (look it up, it's actually an amazing material) and is super tough and durable. So I took my screen protector off. I notice the screen looks MUCH more beautiful and the touch response is 100%. Also, I don't have a single scratch on the screen after about 2 or 3 weeks screen protectorless. Not even the smallest hairline scratch. And I'm very picky I would find one eventually if there was one, and there isn't, trust me :icon_cool:.

If I were you I'd just leave it naked. If something was going to scratch your screen it would go right through the protector anyways. Check out this link Motorola Droid Screen Scratch Test: No Protection Needed? | GottaBeMobile, and check out Gorilla Glass.
