What is the 3D App Drawer?

I've searched, I've googled. There are some Youtube vids available but that won't help me from work.

Does anyone have a screen shot so I can see what all the fuss is about?

Is the functionality any better, or are we just talking about eye candy here?

IMO it's stupid. Its slow and not all that cool. Pretty cool for a design, but once we really get going I think we can design an even cooler look... why drool over that simple shaky one?

It isn't included in the SDK from what I could see so it might be a nexus one only thing.

It isn't anything i feel im missing out on

Go on the Market and get the $2.00 Clockword Mod.
Its worth it.
4 screens...Pro Switcher Screen and 3D App Launcher.

I tried it, but as I prefer having the Phone, etc on every screen like with GDE, Home++, Helix, etc to having the 3D drawer, I uninstalled it. I mean, if you were used to stock and wanted those extra things, I would go with it, but not at present.

I uninstalled it also. Not worth the money for a 3d app drawer when you can't have the dedicated icons on the bottom row.

I'm really happy w/ Helix, 7 screens, and $2 in my pocket.

Now, if I could just see a screen shot of a 3D app drawer so I know what we're talking about I'd be pretty happy.

All i know is i bought the nexus one clockword mod launcher and it is sweet love it and its so smooth and its only $1.99 pocket change for such an awesome launcher.

I'm kind of in between. I'm all for functionality over looks. After seeing pictures and video of the N1's app drawer I have to admit it looks nice; I like the little bounce back when you get to the end. When you really think about it, aside from a few tech specs, most of the phones out right now are pretty on par. Meaning if you have two or more phones that are all equally as powerful, and you've got the functionality criteria satisfied, why not have slick, smoothly animated menus and whatnot?

That being said I don't really care to have the N1's app drawer; I'd actually prefer if they updated the Droid's to a similar 3D style, but made it original. Hey, here's a good idea Google/Verizon, why not take that holographic globe of applications from your commercial and find a way to make that the app drawer? You press the button and then you quickly pan away from the homescreen to a slowly spinning ball of your installed apps; think Google Earth.
