What is accessability option in menu?

Jt a quick, and probably stupid question bt what is the accessability and zoom option in the settings menu? I dnt have my owners guide anymore since I threw the box away, bt I've searched through the FAQS section and cnt find anything... Can somebody help me out with this? Just curious...
