What happened to the Droid Forums mobile app?

The DroidForums.net website was updated a few months ago and the DF forum app is no longer compatible. You might try Tapatalk or one of the other similar forum apps as an alternative.

Tapatalk is not the best anymore except if ypu're using older versions.
Why not developing a new app that isn't related to the Tapatalk build/source?
