What do you use for Messaging?

Who disables stock messages after installing a new sms app?

What do you mean you can only have one app I'm charge of sms at a time in lollipop for sends but they all can read. What to you mean by disable?

I think it is pretty much the same. I switched back to hangouts because it seemed silly to have two apps that were so alike. I use hangouts to talk to my peeps more than I text. I am just really ready for Google to update and get the bugs out *sigh*

Go into application manager, find your original stock app and click the disable button. Hides it from your launcher and keeps it from loading usually.

Wow. I can't believe I actually forgot to do that. Thanks for reminding me I needed to!

I have gad good luck with the standard Verizon Messenger app. I like it because it allows me to send text messages over wifi. Have not found another app that does it.

I was using Messenger by Google until it slowed down on me. Texts would take forever to show up after hitting send button etc.

Now using Textra.

Google messanger used to be chomp

Interesting....I never knew that. I really liked Chomp the few months I tested it last year. Don't recall why I stopped using it though.
