I"m already using all of the apps from 2.1 now, and extra homescreens has never been an issue going back to Android 1.1. I'm only interested in seeing if it performs more efficiently.
I didn't realize how much better I would like the homescreens as when I had home++ but due it being really laggy and widgets would freeze up often I went back to the default. I wonder if the home screens will roll back to the beginning like home++? but a smoother, more stable 5 screens will be great.

How's that? Does it come w/ Swype & I just don't know it? Not that it would matter, I'm using swype now.
Cute, but you know if its not 2.1, its when is <insert Android OS build> coming out next.

2.1 is not the end all holy grail of a release !!
The Droid rocks today with 2.01.
The guys who administer this forum do a wonderful job. We're fortunate to have this forum for information. Read, read more and then read even more threads !
2.1 isn't expected to deliver Flash.
2.1 has some nice to have enhancements but it isn't a game changer. As someone said previously, Android 2.0 was the game changer. You already have the game changer in your hand.
Many people need a level set on their expectations for 2.1
Flash IS big news but as far as we're told, its availability is 'sometime' this year. Not necessarily tied to Android 2.1.

I want to see about making live wallpapers. There really isn't much information out on the topic now, even though we have the 2.1 SDK, so I'm hoping that more information will become available as 2.1 becomes more mainstream.
I really, really want to be able to take a nighttime shot of an illuminated city, and somehow make it dynamic, even if that just meant that I could change the traffic light colors. :icon_ banana:
